Our Story

I'm Emma Costin, founder of EQ Leaders.
I created our signature EQ EMPOWER experiential development programs when I saw an opportunity for organisations to truly empower their teams and leaders after months of COVID-19 lockdowns and global disruption.
​
It's the purpose I'd been seeking after time in and out of my professional learning and development role to start a family. Raising the next generation fuelled my drive to prepare modern leaders to lead confidently through change and uncertainty, while doing good on every level.
The idea for EQ Leaders was born in the depths of a pandemic; global mental health crisis;'the great resignation'; a time where shifts in the way we work and the ability to connect with our people on the human level became integral to not just an organisation's health, but their people's health. This once-in-a-generation shake up revealed that we needed to engage and inspire teams in new ways - or lose them forever.
That's why I committed to travelling across the world - mid-pandemic - to certify in the E3 facilitation method that's making lasting, effective change in organisations globally.

After 15 years delivering meaningful L&D solutions across the corporate, government and not for profit sectors, I committed to delivering leadership training programs that get people out of the office and into a natural outdoor setting that emphasises connection to nature and sustainability.
Then, after learning that the second biggest reported opportunity for Victorian social enterprises was access to training and development opportunities, we realigned our vision to put 50% of our business profits into empowering leaders within the Social Enterprise and NGO sector to make greater social impact through enhanced and collaborative leadership.
